Windows 11 Enterprise overview
Windows 11. The main part of this announcement would be to introduce a significant user interface change codenamed Sun Valley. As we know, a significant part of the UX changes will be borrowed from the Windows 10X shell, and Windows 10X will not come to market. Now, as expected, the Windows 11 leaks begin.
Main features of Windows 11 Enterprise
Windows 11 gets a completely new design. Microsoft clearly needs a valid reason to reverse its previous claims and continue to refrain from Windows 10 introducing a new operating system number. And the brand new design is good for that. The Redmond giant has long been preparing a redesign for the update under the code name Sun Valley (Sun Valley), Windows 11 was under that name. The Sun Valley project flashed on the network for a long time, Microsoft regularly revealed details about the new interface – Style. Insiders shared previously unknown information, and popular designers in their circles drew realistic concepts based on all this information.
Startup and system items hover above the bottom bar. Start is the business card and face of all recent versions of Windows. Not surprisingly, the developers will redesign it again in Windows 11, but less functionally than visually, the Start window will float above the bottom line. We have to admit that this small change makes the system look a lot fresher. Judging by the information from the network, Microsoft will not radically change the interior of this menu, innovations will affect only the design of the window itself. The control panel will also be floating and its design will be exactly the same as Start. The Action Center is combined with control keys, similar to what has long been used in some other operating systems. Almost all mentions of this new menu indicate that island control buttons will be on a separate panel, messages on another, and certain items (like players) on another separate panel.
Right angles disappear, they are replaced
of fillet. In fact, insiders and designers disagree on this point. Some are convinced that Microsoft will not change its tradition and will keep right angles, while others are convinced that in 2021 Microsoft will follow the fillet fashion. The latter better fits the definition of a brand new Windows, floating menus alone are not enough to make a new design truly new. Filets are expected to affect almost everything in the system, from context menus and system windows to all application windows. Admittedly, the opinions of concept designers differ here, some draw curves in all possible interface elements, others combine them with right angles.
There will be a transparent background with a blur everywhere. There are disagreements online about the island style of the storefront, the design of the corners and the floating effect of the menu, but almost everyone agrees on the transparency of the storefront. The vast majority of design leaks and renders show transparency and blur in all windows, whether it’s at least the Start menu or Explorer. Additionally, these effects can also be found in a montage of the discontinued Windows 10X operating system, which Microsoft developed in parallel with the Sun Valley project for devices with two screens and flimsy gadgets. So called. acrylic transparency implies the use of new effects when moving the mouse over elements, as well as an increased distance between elements, there will certainly be larger surfaces of the user interface with which the user interacts, and page headers will bebold.
The new font is already displayed. Windows 11 will most likely use the default Segoe UI Variable font, which already appeared in Windows 10 Build 21376 for Insiders. Its advantage is that it is equally suitable for small texts as well as for large inscriptions. This distinguishes them from standard fonts that were initially created for small or large font sizes. For example, the stable release of Windows 10 currently uses the Segoe UI font, which is designed for 9pt. With smaller inscriptions it becomes unreadable, and with large inscriptions it seems inexpressive.
Windows 11 will have new icons, and Windows 95 icons will disappear. Yes, they are still used today. Microsoft will eventually transform the icons used throughout the system. It’s not just shortcuts to folders, trash cans, and other icons in Explorer. We are talking about all the symbols available in the Shell32 directory. There are still icons from the Windows 95 era, and only recently Microsoft updated their design in one of the Insider assemblies, of course they will migrate to Windows 11.
Windows 11 will have functional innovations, there are many of them, but they are all small. Much less is known about the upcoming update’s features than its design. But since Windows 11 and Windows 10X (the discontinued operating system for thin and foldable devices, the image of which was leaked online) were developed in parallel, we can assume that all the features of the latter will appear in Windows 11. For example, Windows 11 will camera to indicate that the corresponding computer screen appears on the taskbar
